About
Auckland Film Society is a non-profit incorporated society and a registered charitable organisation. We are a member of the New Zealand Federation of Film Societies, which has been screening films throughout the country for almost 80 years.
Your annual subscription contributes to programming services, venue hire and administration costs. We value our associations with Whānau Mārama: New Zealand International Film Festival, Show Me Shorts, Flicks and the Academy Cinemas. A big thank you to our local supporters, Time Out Bookstore, Metropolitan Rentals and The Surrey Hotel.
Auckland Film Society is run by a committee of volunteers elected from the general membership at our Annual General Meeting each April. Current committee members are Mark Andersen (Membership Secretary), Simon Erceg, Joshua Eyre, Andrew Lockett (Chair), Jane McKenzie (Treasurer), Craig Ranapia (Secretary), Carmel Riordan, Kristina Siversen and Dave Watson. This year's Auckland Film Society AGM was held on 29 April, after the screening of Rain.
We acknowledge the generous assistance of the Goethe-Institut, the Institut Français and the Embassy of France. Contact Michael McDonnell, New Zealand Federation of Film Societies.
